Lead Developer

Job description


  • Manage the application development team time and monitor the quality of the coding and design work.

  • Promote the use of agile methodology (in most cases) for development projects

  • Support the development team in best practice and also coding reviews.

  • Meet deadlines and host sprint review sessions with customers

  • Produce post project completion reports detailing successes, cost v revenue, improvement points and customer feedback ratings.

  • Meet with customers and partners to show the team capabilities and sell our development and consultancy services

  • Engage in consultancy projects for our customers.

  • Enable the team members to successfully engage in development and consultancy projects.

  • Receive and assess viability of GoPomelo and customer development projects

  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete internal and external development projects

  • Review the project progress with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities.

  • Work closely with our vendors - Google and Facebook - on professional service engagements.



  • Full stack development capabilities

  • A background and/or qualification in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery/Angular, JSON

  • API / back-end code in one or more languages, e.g. Java, Python, NodeJS, etc.

  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL

  • Experience with microservices and design pattern

  • Experience with developing on Google Cloud Platform

  • 5+ years work experience in a team management job position

  • Experience in building software for consumer or business application

  • Ability to learn concepts and apply them in application coding

  • Willingness to learn and grow knowledge in Google development

  • Work well in teams with willingness to share ideas and collaborate
